T-SHIRTS
Project pink is only one month away. I am sooo excited, and I know many of you are too. I am excited to say we have over 400 members and supporters. Thank you to all of you who understand this message and how important it is that we support this cause as individuals who in turn can make a huge difference together.
With that said, we have t-shirts we will be selling, before the event to help support the cause. All proceeds will go directly to the "project pink" event. Traci Smith designed them and did an excellent job!! Thanks Traci. If you are interested either make a comment on blog or email me directly at jschomaker@mac.com. The T-shirts will range from 20-35 a T-shirt. We will also have kids T-shirts available price to come on those.

Project Pink: Loving Yourself from the Inside Out is a free community event geared to radically alter the way girls and women view themselves. Our objective is to create an experience for them to love, honor, and accept all of who they are. We believe that insecurity, comparison, and self-doubt are learned behaviors that can be replaced with powerful principles that lead girls and women to celebrate their identity, honor their gifts, and do the same for others.
The event chairman, Jenny Schomaker, a Phoenix area professional photographer has joined forces with nearly 20 local business and community members to create an interactive experience for females of all ages, denominations, schools, and walks of life. Among those contributing are life coaches, psychotherapists, designers, various church group leaders, and most of all, local mothers. All family members are invited to attend, especially mothers and fathers.
Education and hands on learning will be conducted throughout the day in large and small group classes.
Educational Classes:
Loving Yourself from the Inside Out: Keynote; Heather Madder, Author & Talk Radio Host
Honoring Yourself by Pursuing a Healthy Lifestyle; Tara Martinsen, Live Well Coach, LiveWell International
Owning Your Identity; "Girls are Great"--Cami Covey-Doucet, LAC Psychotherapist
Write Your Own Life Story--Melody Ross; Founder of Chatterbox Scrapbooking Company
Hands on Activities:
Glitz It Now: Scrapbooking
Strictly Curls: Hair Styles
JSchomaker Photography: Photo sessions
Christine Devaney: Promise Bracelets
Free t-shirts will be provided to the first 300 attendees as well as Project Pink bracelets for all those in attendance.
This is more than just an event--it's a movement of love and acceptance of self and others.

Project Pink
Project Pink is a community event to help create awareness for girls and women. Its a project, Jenny (me) with Jschomaker photography has dreamed up. I was inspired by a fellow photographer, Erica Mounts located in Seattle who founded "Project Pink", she initially had the concept of photo shoots to help girls and women be comfortable with themselves. To foster good self esteem with what ever shape or size they were. Unfortunately, her system was hacked into and everything was lost. I spoke to her about doing something similar here and she gave me the ok. So, with that said, I have taken it a step further and will be putting a large community event together to help bring a sense of belonging back.
We all are so busy these days and its so nice to just take some time to all support and reach out for a cause. A certain cause, that will in fact change generations and make the world a better place. Hence "Project Pink" is born!
My background is in Marketing, Sales, and Event Management so this is right down my alley. However, I was diagnosed with Spasmodic Dysphonia last year. Its a neurological disorder that effects the vocal cords like Parkinson's. So , my voice goes in and out and I have no control over it. I have enlisted the help of several well qualified people to help get this event organized and carried out. We will be listing those people very soon in case you need to get a hold of any of them.
Event Details:
When: February 2009
February is the month of LOVE what better way to celebrate ourselves and those around us during this month.
We will have many sponsors and give aways during the event. The event is complimentary.
We will also have educational seminars, fun events to teach trust etc, bouncers for the little kids.
Heather Madder from heathermadder.com will be an educational speaker. She is an author of "Walking on the Ceilings" and travels to teach educational seminars around the West.
Nikki Siri from Seattle, WA will be coming out to teach a "Curl Gala". She is a stylist with over 10 years of experience and the author of "strictlycurls".
She uses all natural products to help with the environment and will educate you as to why this is so important.
We will have other stylist there as well to help create a natural and fun look for all ages.
I will be taking pictures and teaching different techniques on how you can be flattering no matter what size or shape you are.
There are many more events that are in the works, we will be updating as they are confirmed.
We are anticipating over 500 people to attend this event and will be "letting go" of pink balloons to symbolize this new era of realizing the female potential and accepting our bodies. We are each unique and have different shapes, sizes, backgrounds, and ethnicities that we need to accept and celebrate!
Help us and join together in helping future generations!
If you know of anyone that may be interested in sponsoring or participating in the event please send emails to Jschomaker@mac.com and put "Project Pink" in the subject.
All sponsors with be on all media, banners, t-shirts, bags etc.
The first 300 people to the event will receive COOL tshirts!
